ibaHD-Server - HDS2022-04

ibaHD-Server version v3.0.0

What’s new in this version?

Windows 7 (x86/x64), Windows Server 2008 R2 (x64) and Windows Server 2012 (x64) are no longer supported.

New Features

  • With ibaHD-Server v3 licensing is changed from MARX to WIBU.
    • Starting with v3, ibaHD-Server will be delivered with WIBU licenses either on a WIBU USB dongle or as a “soft license”.
    • ibaHD-Server v3 still supports the MARX dongles, i.e. existing ibaHD-Server v2.x installations can be updated to v3 without updating the license from MARX to WIBU. For these installations, license extensions for v3 (e.g. increase no. of signals, additional HD stores) are also possible with the MARX dongle.
    • For ibaHD-Server v3 with WIBU license, it is now possible to order only one additional HD store. For ibaHD-Server installations that continue to use MARX dongles, the order of additional HD Stores as a bundle of two stores remains.
    • However, further new products of ibaHD-Server v3.x will be only available as a WIBU license (e.g. OPC UA HDA server).
  • New introduced signal counter license steps.
    • The signal steps for the base licenses are now identical to the base licenses of ibaPDA.
    • The following base licenses are now available: 64, 128, 512, 1024, 2048, 4096, 8192 and unlimited signals.
  • The general appearance of ibaHD-Server was modernized including a new set of icons which is harmonized between the other iba products.

Important Improvements

  • It is now avoided that HD data in segment files are not assigned to the current HD store index after system startup. However, if gaps in the HD trends occur unexpectedly during the analysis, we could probably restore these data, since the data are backed up in a separate directory. In this case, please contact your local iba support.

Bugfixes

  • All configuration parameters of the SNMP server persist on reboot of the ibaHD-Server service. The selected SMNP encryption mode is applied correctly on the communication.
    • The installation directory of ibaHD-Server contains only the currently installed ibaHD-Server versions in the folder ‘Installer'.
    • The backup of the HD store index file will be generated from the current HD server memory information. By this, copy errors from previous defect HD index files are avoided.
