What’s new in this version?
New features and improvements
The support for generating SHA-1 certificates was removed because SHA-1 is considered to be not secure enough anymore. Instead support for generating SHA-384 and SHA-512 certificates was added.
An option to disable tag verification during validation was added in the OPC UA client interface. This helps e.g. to overcome timeouts in case of OPC UA servers with high response times.
Important bugfixes
The value of a virtual text signal wasn’t always correct when used as a parameter in an SQL query or command.
Several bugs related to the configuration of ibaHD events have been fixed.
Some passwords were saved in plaintext in the I/O configuration. For more details and recommended customer actions please refer to the Security Advisories IBA-2022-03 and IBA-2022-04.
In some cases the S7 address book generator crashed when loading a project from a PLC.
S7-Xplorer interface: it wasn’t possible to connect to S7-1500 CPUs with firmware v1.6 anymore.
ibaBM-PN device slot decoder and sniffer decoder had incorrect signal values if not all signals of a decoder were active.
ibaBM-ENetIP sniffer decoder had incorrect signal values if not all signals of a decoder were active.
