For using ibaPDA v8.2 you need an ibaPDA license with a valid EUP date of 2023‑02‑01 or later.
What’s new in this version?
Main new features and improvements
To automatically rescale ibaQPanel windows when the windows screen resolution changes a new automatic scaling option is now available.
New optional signal name rules help to define consistent signal names. Uniqueness, maximum and minimum length, as well as a customer specified regular expression can be applied.
All S7 related interfaces and modules support now TIA Portal V18, S7-1500 CPUs with firmware v3 and the usage of secure communication.
The new module type S7-Xplorer decoder can be used to measure many digital signals efficiently.
The IEC 61850 interface supports now creation of offline address book from SCL files.
IEC 61850 GOOSE messages can be measured without using an IP address.
Two new functions ClientInfo and ClientInfoText provide information about the connected ibaPDA clients. Information like PC name, IP address, logged in Windows and ibaPDA user, connection state and the number of requested signals is available.
Important bug fixes
Possible incorrect position of certain ibaQPanel objects when opening very old layouts was fixed.
